No one has right to interfere in Church’s affairs – Aragatsotn residents
The US President says America is a powerful country, other states speak about their strong armies and weapons, but our leader, instead of speaking about the country, says the Catholicos has a child, remarked one resident of Aragatsotn, adding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is not concerned with the development of the nation.
Residents stressed that no one has the right to take any action against the Church or interfere in its affairs.
“What business does the prime minister have with the Church? Why are defrocked priests serving liturgy in the Church at his request? The Constitution clearly states that the Church is separate from the state. According to the Constitution, the prime minister’s powers include ensuring the balance of legislative, executive, and judicial authorities. Yet alongside this, Pashinyan issues orders to the Catholicos and others left and right.
But, thank God, our Catholicos is strong and faithful to his beliefs,” the resident stressed.
