“Change is coming thanks to Samvel Karapetyan’s efforts”: Narek Karapetyan

Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the “Strong Armenia” party, claims that change in Armenia is possible only if the party’s leader, Samvel Karapetyan, comes to power.

“Change is possible only thanks to Samvel Karapetyan’s efforts; at this moment, this is the only alternative,” he said in a conversation with journalists after signing a memorandum on an alliance with the “New Era” and “United Armenians” parties.

Responding to a question from Alpha News about Nikol Pashinyan’s accusation that the leader of the “Strong Armenia” party is speaking from a position of war, Karapetyan said:

“The ruling force has nothing more to offer. They have delivered no economic changes and have failed to attract major investment. The only thing they have left after three wars over these eight years is an agreement without guarantees, and it is precisely on this that they want to build their continued hold on power. Nothing has been done to eradicate poverty, and no solutions have been proposed in other areas. That is why they are creating a certain agenda. But we must judge the tree by its fruits, they have brought us three wars. There is no need to hope that our people have no memory; our people remember very well what happened 100 years ago and what is happening now.”

It should be recalled that the “Strong Armenia” party will take part in the upcoming June 7 parliamentary elections as part of an alliance titled “Strong Armenia with Samvel Karapetyan.” The bloc will also include Harutyun Harutyunyan’s “New Era” party and Nairi Sargsyan’s “United Armenians” party.
