The Audit Chamber’s 2024 report recorded damage of 548 million drams, and its 2023 report damage of 142 million drams. How much money has been returned to the state budget as a result of the audits? Mesrop Manukyan, an MP from the Armenia faction, raised this question during a National Assembly discussion of violations identified by the Audit Chamber and funds returned to the budget, addressing Karen Arustamyan, a member of the Chamber.

He also asked whether officials had been held accountable for the identified violations and whether criminal proceedings had been initiated.

“I also asked you about the 21-billion-dram misstatement you identified. As a result of your work, was the money ultimately returned to the budget or not? And what were the consequences of these alarming figures you cite – a misstatement of 21 billion drams, or 1.1–1.2 billion drams in the Ashtarak municipality? Have officials been punished, have cases been opened? Where can we see all of this?” the MP asked.
