Samvel Karapetyan has begun the process of renouncing all citizenships except Armenian

Samvel Karapetyan, philanthropist, businessman, and leader of the “Strong Armenia” party, announced at the first court hearing that he has begun the process of renouncing all citizenships other than Armenian.

“Since I am running in the elections and am confident in my victory, I have decided to begin the process of renouncing these passports,” he said.

Holding citizenships other than Armenian is an obstacle to running in the Armenian National Assembly elections, which will be held on June 7.
