Catholicos of All Armenians congratulates newly elected Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia

Garegin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, has sent a congratulatory message to Shio III, the newly elected Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

“Your election is a bright testament to your many years of selfless service to the Georgian Church and its people. We pray that the Almighty Lord may always strengthen you with His abundant gifts in your lofty patriarchal ministry, guiding the devout Georgian people along the path of peace and blessing,” the message reads.

The Catholicos expressed hope that the centuries-old brotherly ties between the Armenian and Georgian Churches will continue to serve as a solid foundation for cooperation between both Churches, peoples, and states.

Garegin II wished Shio III good health and many fruitful years of pastoral ministry to the glory of God and for the benefit of the Georgian Church and the devout Georgian people.
