The government will soon publish a new draft Constitution, which will then be sent to parliament. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in a conversation with journalists after a government session.
According to him, the government will try to convince the opposition that amending the Constitution is an important issue, but if these attempts fail, other scenarios are possible, including holding snap elections.
“We will try to convince our colleagues in the opposition that making changes to the Constitution is an important issue. If that doesn’t work, we may consider another scenario, including holding early elections. And who said that such a scenario is ruled out?” Pashinyan said.
