The Armenians of Artsakh are fighting not only for Artsakh, but also for Armenia, and keep dignity of the Armenian people, Robert Unusyan, Head of the Committee of Armenians in Belgium, said in a live broadcast of Alpha News, noting that the Belgian Armenians are doing everything in their power for Artsakh.
“We have many disagreements in the Armenian communities of Belgium, but there are no disagreements on the issue of Artsakh. We all support the Armenians of Artsakh, we stand by their side, we follow all the news and support them with the opportunities available to us. Today you are fighting and suffering not only for Artsakh, but also for Armenia and Armenians so that our Homeland can continue to exist,” he said.
Unusyan notes with regret that the European and Western press still does not cover the humanitarian situation in Artsakh, while many media outlets go to Shushi to participate in the media forum organized by the President of Azerbaijan.
“We organized a protest in front of the European Council building, sent a letter to Charles Michel demanding to correct his latest statements, place Azerbaijan under pressure and demand to open the Lachin road immediately so that the necessary aid could be delivered to Artsakh. We succeeded. Many resolutions on Artsakh have already been adopted in the Belgian parliaments, which is a positive sign for Armenians. Unfortunately, the problem is not only with Belgium, but also with the whole West, with both European and Western media being silent about this issue. Recently, numerous journalists, including European, were invited to Shushi to spend a good time and write positive things about Azerbaijan. Work to change the reality is underway,” Robert Unusyan concluded.
