How did footage from Zvartnots border checkpoint end up in the hands of pro-government media? – Gegham Manukyan

Gegham Manukyan, a member of parliament from the “Armenia” bloc, announced that he had shortly before filed a parliamentary inquiry to Andranik Simonyan, Director of the NSS, requesting clarification on how a video recorded in a specially controlled zone, the NSS border checkpoint of the Republic of Armenia at Zvartnots airport, came to appear in the Telegram channel of the daily newspaper “Haykakan Zhamanak”, which belongs to the Pashinyan family.

“My question is perhaps rhetorical, since Armenia’s law enforcement system has long since become an institution engaged in unlawful activity that serves the authorities and caters to Nikol’s whims.

Incidentally, this is not the first time I have addressed the NSS with a question of this nature. I have raised the matter repeatedly in the National Assembly, citing instances where, for political purposes, footage from specially protected areas, from the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, from Zvartnots airport, has ended up in the hands of the ruling propaganda machine,” Manukyan noted.
