In the context of the Constitutional Court proceedings in the case challenging the election results, Aram Vardevanyan, a lawyer and representative of the “Strong Armenia” party, speaking with journalists, touched on the independence of the judicial system, the validity of the arguments presented, and questions about the legitimacy of the composition of the Supreme Court.
He emphasized that the Constitutional Court should not be viewed within the scope of the ordinary judicial-legal system, since it is a supra-authority body and stands above the judicial branch.
Commenting on the justifications presented by the parties challenging the election results, Vardevanyan expressed confidence that they are sufficiently weighty.
“I believe that at least many representatives of our society, our compatriots, will agree that the arguments presented by the plaintiffs, with one exception, are more than convincing,” he noted.
