The country needs a patriotic leader: residents of Kotayk region

Polls conducted in the Kotayk region revealed a public demand for meaningful change in the country and a shift in its leadership and political elite.

Poll participants unanimously emphasized that overcoming the current crisis requires educated figures guided by national values, capable of pursuing a balanced foreign policy and resolving domestic socioeconomic problems.

“Is it possible that a republic with a population of 3 million has no such people? There are, and quite a lot of them. We need a leader who wouldn’t be criticized for the past, so that people could follow the right ideas,” one Kotayk region resident noted.

Respondents also spoke about the consequences of the 2020 war, noting that the country lost its best and most patriotic generation, which dealt a heavy blow to the Armenian people.

“Right now we need a patriot, not someone clinging to their seat. The patriotic people who were leading the country toward a better life were sent to Yerablur, to get rid of competitors. The 2020 war broke our nation’s backbone, they took the golden generation and wiped it out,” another respondent noted.
