Armenians among the nominees for the 2026 Emmy Awards

The Television Academy in the US yesterday released the list of nominees for the 78th Emmy Awards, the top honor for outstanding achievement in television, considered the TV equivalent of the film industry’s Oscar.

Among them are four professionals of Armenian descent:

🔹 Peggy Tachdjian — for Outstanding Picture Editing on the comedy series “Hacks”
🔹 Louie Zakarian — for Outstanding Makeup on the variety show “Saturday Night Live”
🔹 Kimberly Kachougian— for Outstanding Production Design on “Saturday Night Live”
🔹 Razmik Karakashyan — for Outstanding Picture Editing on the reality show “Survivor”

This year’s leaders in number of nominations are the series “The Pitt,” “Hacks,” and “Widow’s Bay.”

The awards ceremony will take place on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
