In 2026, bailiffs deported nearly 44,000 foreigners from Russia in six months

From January to June this year, 43,700 foreign nationals and stateless persons were deported from Russia to 59 foreign countries. This was reported to Vedomosti by a representative of the press service of the Federal Bailiffs Service (FBS).

The figure for the first half of the year is 65.5% higher than the same period in 2025, according to Vedomosti’s calculations. The FBS clarified that 26,400 foreign nationals and stateless persons were deported from Russia in the first half of last year.

On July 24, the Federation Council approved a law expanding the list of offenses for which foreigners face deportation. Their number will more than double, from 22 to 45. Foreign nationals will be deported for violating public order, disobeying border guards, discrimination, spreading information online that demeans human dignity, and other offenses.
