The opposition in parliament is discussing concrete issues, in particular raising the topics of Haypost’s management efficiency and rising tariffs. This was stated to journalists by Narek Karapetyan, head of the “Strong Armenia” faction, at the National Assembly.
Commenting on the mutual insults and provocative remarks heard in the National Assembly, Karapetyan noted that Armenian political mind is still learning the culture of literate, civilized confrontation.
“During all our regional visits, people tell us this isn’t the way to talk, that our children are listening to this, and that it can’t be an example of behavior in our country,” the MP added, emphasizing that what needs to be discussed now is improving people’s lives, and that everything else is secondary.
Responding to reporters’ questions about whether there are figures within the opposition who would vote for constitutional amendments meeting Azerbaijan’s demands, Karapetyan stressed: “I rule out any support for this process from our political team.”
