Armenia’s Foreign Ministry hasn’t contacted me: Veronika Zonabend awaits contact to discuss humanitarian mission

Veronika Zonabend, wife of Ruben Vardanyan, has stated that Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet established contact with her.

“I welcome the Prime Minister of Armenia’s statement that all of us are concerned about the fate of our compatriots held in detention in Azerbaijan. I consider it important that the Foreign Ministry has been assigned responsibility for organizing a meeting with me. However, at this point, contact with me has not been established, and I have not been given the contact information of the responsible official. I am awaiting this and hope for a substantive meeting to discuss the humanitarian visit of women to Baku, as well as other issues related to Armenian citizens held in detention in Azerbaijan,” her statement reads.

Zonabend previously put forward an initiative to organize a women’s humanitarian mission to Baku to meet with Armenian prisoners.
