The decision regarding yesterday’s searches of the apartment of Levon Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly from the “Armenia” bloc, has been appealed to the Anti‑Corruption Court of Appeal of the Republic of Armenia, lawyer Erik Aleksanyan announced on social media.
“The search of Levon Kocharyan’s apartment indicates the actual criminal prosecution of the latter.” Therefore, prior to the search of Levon Kocharyan’s apartment, which would have amounted to actual criminal prosecution, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia was supposed to submit a petition to the National Assembly to revoke the deputy’s immunity, which, however, was not done. Consequently, yesterday’s entire process was illegal,” Aleksanyan wrote.
