Pashinyan will persuade Putin not to cut off Armenia from the Russian market: Vladimir Skachko

Vladimir Skachko, political analyst in a comment to Alpha News, said that Pashinyan would try to maintain relations with both Russia and Europe, waiting for who would offer Armenia more.

“Pashinyan will try to sit on two chairs and wait for who will give him more. This is a traditional multi-vector approach,” Skachko said.

According to the political analyst, Pashinyan is interested in ensuring that Russia does not restrict economic cooperation with Armenia.

“Of course, Pashinyan will try to persuade Putin not to cut Armenia off from the Russian market – in all directions: as from energy supplies, as from access to the Russian consumer market, and from assistance, any other kind of assistance. Because, as they say in Odessa, there is a big fundamental difference between ‘here you go’, what Russia does, and ‘I’ll show you’, what the EU promises. You can’t live on promises. Armenia lives thanks to concrete cooperation with Russia,” the political analyst concluded.
