Overchuk’s statement on the railway does not reflect the atmosphere in which the discussion took place: Pashinyan

The statement by Alexey Overchuk, Russia’s deputy prime minister, on the railway does not reflect the atmosphere in which the discussion took place at the recent meeting with Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president, in Bishkek. This statement was made by Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia’s prime minister, at a press conference, commenting on Overchuk’s statement that Russia does not intend to sell the SCR (South Caucasus Railway) concession.

According to Pashinyan, there is an understanding both in Armenia and in Russia that one option for resolving the problem is selling the concession to a third party acceptable to both Yerevan and Moscow.
