Putin and Modi hold talks on sidelines of BRICS summit

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, held talks on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, RIA Novosti reports.
The meeting took place at the Bharat Mandapam convention and exhibition center.
The two leaders had previously met less than two weeks ago, on August 31, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek.
Today, the Russian president began a three-day visit to India, during which he will take part in the 18th BRICS summit and hold several bilateral meetings.
