Azerbaijan has completed the design of a power transmission line to the border with Armenia. This was announced by Balababa Rzayev, head of Azerenerji OJSC.
Azerbaijan aims to connect Nakhichevan to the country’s main power system in order to create an Azerbaijan-Turkey-Europe international energy corridor. The line from Armenia to Nakhichevan will span 44 km.
It was previously reported that the line will run along the Araz River (Armenian: Araks), and through mountainous and rocky terrain in a number of sections.
