Curse across the ages for destroying the people’s pillar: Zakharova warns organizers of campaign against Armenian Church

Those who take part in the persecution of the canonical Church of Armenia will be cursed, that’s the message to pass along. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing.

She stressed that the citizens of every state must defend what they hold valuable themselves, and that this is a matter for Armenians as members of the Armenian Apostolic Church. At the same time, she said, outside interference “is no longer simply interference, but the destruction of what forms the very pillar supporting the citizens of Armenia themselves.”

“There are terrible crimes, but godlessness, when a genuine campaign of persecution is waged with the full arsenal of tools, that is a curse across the ages. History proves this,” Zakharova noted.
