Our duty is to return all that has been taken and restore the Homeland’s dignity: Bagrat Srbazan congratulates on Armenia’s 35th anniversary of independence

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, in a video address, congratulated all Armenians on the 35th anniversary of the independence and self-determination of the Republic of Armenia.

“Dear brothers and sisters! I warmly congratulate all of us, every Armenian, on the 35th anniversary of the restoration of the independence and self-determination of the Republic of Armenia. Three and a half decades ago, the child of our restored independence was born — our holy Artsakh. Today, to our greatest sorrow, we mark this milestone standing beside the body of our lost child. But I believe with all my soul: this child has not died forever, it is destined to be resurrected.

With this unrelenting pain and heavy loss in my heart, I nevertheless address you with words of congratulation. We are celebrating the anniversary of the Armenia of our most cherished dreams — the True Armenia. Enemies and traitors have tried to steal from us these 35 years of history, our shared joy, and our inner unity. But we have no right to give up. Our duty today is to take a sacred vow and, through our combined efforts, return everything that has been taken from us: to restore the peace, justice, and dignity of our Homeland. May the Almighty bless our land, our state, and our future victories!” Srbazan said.
