Armenia’s artistic gymnastics team finished third in the men’s medal standings at the 2026 World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Armenian athletes won four medals, two gold and two bronze, finishing behind only China and Japan in the final standings, sportaran. com reports.
Particularly impressive is the fact that all four gymnasts who represented Armenia at the World Championships returned home with medals. Every member of the Armenian team made it onto the podium, and two of them became world champions.
🔹 Hamlet Manukyan won the world title on the pommel horse with a score of 15.300, becoming the first world champion on this apparatus in the history of independent Armenia.
🔹 Artur Davtyan won the vault title with a score of 14.850. The victory made him the oldest world champion in the history of artistic gymnastics, as well as independent Armenia’s first two-time world champion.
🔹 Mamikon Khachatryan took bronze on the pommel horse with an excellent score of 15.000. Last year, that score would have comfortably secured the title, but this year the competition was too strong.
🔹 Artur Avetisyan took bronze on the rings with a score of 14.233.
