Text of Declaration of Independence is anti-state: Pashinyan

Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, considers the text of Armenia’s Declaration of Independence to be anti-state. The head of government said this during a briefing with journalists.

“It is impossible to have an independent state with such a text. This text is about the impossibility of having a state,” he said.

Pashinyan added that adopting a new Constitution was part of the Civil Contract party’s election program, and that having won an absolute majority in the elections, they are obliged to implement this program.
