Azerbaijan’s behavior on peace is insincere: Aram Vardevanyan

Peace must be real and must not be achieved through one-sided concessions. Armenian society has already made more than enough concessions, and tragic ones at that, Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, said during a briefing with journalists in parliament.
According to him, the authorities presented the peace agenda to the public, but it is now becoming clear that many questions about this process remain unanswered.
“Looking at Azerbaijan’s behavior, I see no sincerity there. In the peace agenda, belief in it is extremely important: sincere belief and reciprocity. I see neither. I still see a state mired in xenophobia that still glorifies [Ramil] Safarov and has not expressed even a drop of sympathy, even in connection with the incident in Shaki,” Vardevanyan stressed.
