Vanadzor theater’s play “One Pound of Heart” warmly received at Moscow Festival

Vanadzor State Drama Theater’s play “One Pound of Heart” based on William Shakespeare’s comedy “The Merchant of Venice” was staged on October 8 as part of the XV International SOLO Monodrama Festival held in Moscow.

Shylock, the main character of the play, was portrayed by Honored Artist of Armenia Aramais Sargsyan.

The play was directed by People’s Artist of Armenia Vahe Shahverdyan, who has been the artistic director of the theater for a long time.

The Vanadzor Theater expressed its gratitude to the SOLO Monodrama Festival team, as well as to the Armenian and Russian audience for the warm welcome.
