Ara Poghosyan: Aliyev is trying to create cause for war

Azerbaijan is trying to act from the position of constructivism and show that it is inclined towards peace, political scientist Ara Poghosyan told Alpha News.

The political scientist also commented on the key ideas in Aliyev’s rhetoric.

“At the moment, there is pressure against Azerbaijan, and it will become more and more noticeable. Azerbaijan is trying to act from a position of constructiveness and show that it is inclined towards peace, and it is the Armenian authorities and precisely Armenia that do not want peace, and using military assistance from France and India, they are trying to generate new revanchist ideas in Armenia. This is Aliyev’s rhetoric. He is trying to create a cause for war to solve other problems in the future with the help of some military operations,” Ara Poghosyan said.

According to the political scientist, Azerbaijan will continue to resolve all its issues exclusively with the use of force or the threat of its use.

“Aliyev hinted that when the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group argued that the conflict did not have a military solution. They were mistaken: the conflict had a military solution, and Azerbaijan solved it that way. This is the key point from which you need to understand that Azerbaijan will try to resolve all its issues exclusively with the use of force or the threat of its use. For them, this will be a tool, and until a period of calm comes in the world and the states of the world do not come to new agreements around international law, Azerbaijan will at least use this tool.
