The policy of appropriation of Armenian cultural heritage continues at the state level in the occupied Artsakh, the Ombudsman of Culture of Hayk reports on Facebook.

He warns that new cases of vandalism are being reported every day, with Armenian churches and khachkars being presented as Albanian.

“Today, the Ararat telegram channel posted a photo, which clearly shows another vandalism committed in the Spitak Khach Monastery.

The Spitak Khach Monastery is located on a hill in Vank village, northwest of the city of Hadrut.
All this once again proves that Azerbaijan is destroying Armenian traces in Artsakh at the state level.

According to Article 4 of the 1954 Hague Convention on the Protection of Cultural Property in the event of Armed Conflict, any form of theft, pillage or misappropriation of, and any acts of vandalism directed against, cultural property is prohibited,” the Ombudsman of Culture of Hayk notes.
