Cadastral real estate certificates were issued to residents of Tavush village of Kirants in the past based on incorrect data, the Ministry of Justice of Armenia said.
This is how the Ministry of Justice responded to the interview of constitutional law expert Vardan Poghosyan.
Poghosyan had earlier stated that the residents of Kirants have cadastral certificates, which means that the said territories belong to Armenia.
“It should be stated that the state registration of the respective rights was made on the basis of incorrect data. This registration cannot serve as a legal basis for claims that these plots are part of Armenia’s sovereign territory,” the ministry stressed.
