The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) set tariff quotas for imports of certain types of meat and whey into the EAEU in 2025, the commission’s press release said.

“In accordance with the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, the EEC establishes tariff quotas for certain categories of agricultural goods originating from third countries and imported into the customs territory of the EAEU. Tariff quotas are also set taking into account the balance of consumption and production in the member states and the countries’ commitments to the World Trade Organization,” said Vahagn Ghazaryan, Director of the EEC Department for Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation.

For Armenia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, tariff quotas are determined in amounts not exceeding the difference between consumption and production, and for Kazakhstan and Russia, tariff quotas for 2025 are set in the amounts documented in the protocols of accession to the WTO.
