A touching reunion: a mother and her baby outside the Anti-Corruption Court

A touching scene unfolded today outside the Anti-Corruption Court: Gohar Gumasyan, who is in custody, was visited by her husband, who brought along their two-month-old baby.

The court allowed the mother of many children a few minutes to see the baby she is breastfeeding. The little one was restless, likely hungry or missing his mother.

To recap, the Anti-Corruption Court is currently considering the question of pretrial detention measures for Gohar Gumasyan, a member of the “Strong Armenia” party.

The party considers what is happening to be political persecution, and emphasizes that this is yet another manifestation of Pashinyan’s fear of Samvel Karapetyan.
