Alex Balekian: Azerbaijan is so bold because of US assistance

Armenia finds itself in a quite difficult situation, US congressional candidate Alex Balekian told Alpha News.

“The situation in Armenia is unfortunate. Azerbaijani President Aliyev would not be so bold if his friend Turkey did not have F-16 fighters. In my opinion, Azerbaijan is so bold because of US assistance,” Alex Balekian said.

According to Balekian, Turkey needs to be expelled from NATO.

“I would like to see a law put into effect that would exclude Turkey from NATO. Trump wants to reduce the number of NATO members. We send $850 million to NATO annually. Turkey is already our enemy. If you ask other NATO member countries, it seems to me that they will agree to expel Turkey from the organization,” Balekian said.

Alex Balekian’s wish is that different countries provide financial assistance to Armenia to help develop businesses.”It means that if Armenia is attacked by the enemy, those countries will protect Armenia because they have businesses there,” he said.
