An Azerbaijani university will start teaching the Armenian language

The Baku Slavic University plans to introduce Armenian language instruction. The relevant decision was made by the Academic Council of the higher education institution, said Sabina Huseynzade, press secretary of the BSU.

According to her, Armenian language studies are planned at the university in subsequent years in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council. However, the university’s statement does not specify the exact dates when Armenian language classes will begin.

Earlier, Anar Nagiyev, the rector of Baku Slavic University, announced plans to start teaching the Armenian language from the 2026–2027 academic year.
