Araghchi calls Iran-Russia cooperation the closest in history

Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, said that Tehran and Moscow have never cooperated as closely as they do now, and described the talks as “timely.”

“We discussed all issues, from Europe to West Asia, including Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen. We also focused on expanding economic and nuclear cooperation. Never in our history have Iran and Russia cooperated as closely as they do now,” Araghchi wrote on X.

Lavrov arrived in Tehran on October 19 on a working visit, where he was received by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, met with Araghchi and held talks with Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
