Armenia has indeed reduced its activities with the CSTO, and achieving clarity in this matter will benefit all members of the organization, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov told News.ru, referring to the cooperation between the CSTO and Armenia.

According to Tasmagambetov, the term “freezing” is not quite appropriate in the current situation.

“It should be noted that the concept of ‘freezing’ is not reflected in the CSTO documents, so we will not use it in relation to the current situation. Armenia has indeed significantly reduced the level of its activities as a member of the organization, but the work still continues. All the issues included in the agenda of the Secretariat are discussed along the way. The decision on the resumption of the activities at the previous level depends exclusively on the political leadership of the Republic of Armenia. Clarity in this matter would be beneficial for all participants of our association, first of all for comprehensive planning,” the CSTO Secretary General said.
