Armenia must suspend veterinary certification of live fish and fish products intended for export to Russia from all Armenian companies, effective June 2, with the exception of two that have passed inspection. This was announced by Rosselkhoznadzor.
According to the agency, Rosselkhoznadzor conducted an inspection of Armenian fish processing enterprises from May 21 to 27, 2026, and also visited trout farming and breeding facilities. At the same time, 50% of the enterprises refused the inspection.
“Based on the results of the inspection, effective June 2, 2026, the Armenian side must suspend veterinary certification for Russian recipients of live fish and fish products from all Armenian companies, except for the two that passed inspection, until the situation is resolved,” the agency’s statement reads.
It is specified that fish products from the two approved plants will be allowed into Russia subject to laboratory safety monitoring.
