Armenia would lose almost all cherry export revenue without Russia: media

Armenia could lose almost all of its cherry export revenue if it were to lose the Russian market, RIA Novosti found after studying data from national statistical services.

Over May–July of last year, the country earned a total of $4.3 million from cherry exports. Of that, $4.2 million came from exports to Russia, meaning Russia accounted for 99.3% of the profit.

In addition, in 2025 Armenian cherries were also imported by Georgia ($18,700) and Belarus ($10,300).

As a reminder, in early June Rosselkhoznadzor introduced restrictions on the import of stone fruit from Armenia.
