The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has issued a warning against the use of administrative resources during the election campaign.
The CEC’s statement notes that campaigning must be conducted strictly within the requirements of the constitutional law on the Electoral Code.
The Commission reminded that administrative resources include the human, financial, and material means at the disposal of public officials by virtue of their control over personnel, finances, and resource allocation in the public sector.
It was particularly emphasized that the use of such resources in campaigning is prohibited for persons in public service, as well as for employees of medical, educational, and preschool institutions, when acting within the scope of their official duties or in an official capacity.
