Azerbaijan continues to demand changes to Armenia’s Constitution, Reuters reports.
“Azerbaijan speaks of a ‘real peace’ with Armenia, but is demanding changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. There is currently a ‘real peace’ between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and after decades of conflict the two countries are restoring trade and economic ties,” Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said at a forum in occupied Shushi, according to the outlet.
However, he said, Baku continues to insist that Armenia must amend its Constitution before a final peace agreement can be signed, Reuters writes.
