‘Borders of states should be respected, each country should be content within its own borders’ — Iranian President

In an interview with an Azerbaijani TV channel, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed hope that the disagreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan could be resolved in accordance with existing international norms and principles.

According to him, each country should be content within its own borders and refrain from encroaching on the territory of others.

“Disagreements arise when one side seeks to seize the territory of the other…We have consistently upheld the position that the borders and territorial integrity of countries must be respected. We hope that, within the framework of international norms and principles, it will be possible to settle the disagreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he said.
