Brussels discusses fate of Armenian political prisoners

A conference titled “Armenian political prisoners in Azerbaijan and the need for EU involvement” is being held in Brussels. The event’s goal is to present an up-to-date assessment of the situation facing Armenian captives and political prisoners held in Azerbaijan. The conference is co-organized by Kostas Mavrides, Member of the European Parliament (S&D, Cyprus), and Miriam Lexmann, Member of the European Parliament (EPP, Slovakia). Organizational support is provided by the European Bureau of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s Hay Dat office.

The son of David Ishkhanyan, former speaker of the Artsakh parliament, currently held in Baku, is also attending the conference.
