Davit Jamalyan: If Pashinyan had accepted Shoigu’s proposal, the Artsakh situation would have been different

During the meeting in Tehran, the Russian Defense Minister offered Nikol Pashinyan to draw up a scenario to save the situation in Artsakh, but the latter refused. Military expert Davit Jamalyan said this in an interview with Alpha News.
“The tragedy is that Aliyev’s so-called victory is just a result of simple treason. In any other scenario, Aliyev could not have ended up on Renaissance Square in Stepanakert. Our society must finally accept this truth. The de facto authorities of Armenia, whose leader is Nikol Pashinyan, have committed treason. Because if, for example, the Armenian authorities had not washed their hands of the genocide taking place in Artsakh and had not watched silently, Aliyev would not have ended up on Renaissance Square.
“If the current government had accepted the proposal of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu to save the situation in Artsakh, the scenario would have been different,” Jamalyan said.
He clarified that while in Tehran, the Russian Defense Minister suggested drawing up a scenario to save the situation.
“The core of that scenario should have been the territory of Armenia. Let’s try to understand what it means. An operation was to be carried out in Armenian territory by Russian forces. What kind of forces could these be? Could they be the forces of the 102nd military base or forces that would be brought from Iran, perhaps?
I refer to Hayk Nahapetyan, who said that a proposal was made to Defense Minister Suren Papikyan to develop a scenario to save the situation. But he refused. The security forces of Artsakh resisted vigorously, and the enemy had many more casualties than announced. If Armenia had helped, we would not have had such a picture,” Davit Jamalyan said.
The military expert stressed that the officials betrayed not only Artsakh but also Armenia and future generations.
