Developments in Armenia are purely political: Arman Abovyan

The developments in Armenia are purely political. This was stated in the courtyard of the court, in a conversation with journalists, by Arman Abovyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia party, who noted that this concerns opposition leaders Robert Kocharyan, Gagik Tsarukyan, Samvel Karapetyan and other opposition figures.

According to the politician, pressure is being put on the leaders of the country’s main political forces.

“Robert Kocharyan and Gagik Tsarukyan are in prison, Samvel Karapetyan is under house arrest. It is obvious that all this has nothing to do with democracy and Armenia’s fundamental interests,” he stressed, adding that representatives of opposition forces taking part in local government elections are also subjected to political and moral-psychological pressure.
