The leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will discuss the question of Armenia’s further participation in the EAEU on Friday, Yury Ushakov, aide to the President of the Russian Federation, stated.
“Tomorrow there will be a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Council. I believe this issue will be discussed in one form or another,” he told journalists in response to a question about the Russian-Kazakhstani consensus on Armenia’s participation in the EAEU.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, is on a state visit to Kazakhstan from May 27 to 29. In Astana, Putin is accompanied by a delegation of more than 30 people, including Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, who will also take part in the events of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Astana.
