Polls conducted after the parliamentary elections show that distrust toward the legitimacy of the electoral process exists among residents of the Shirak region.
One participant in the Alpha News poll, commenting on the election results, sharply criticized the current government, questioning the fairness and equal conditions of the vote.
The poll also touched on the authorities’ claims that citizens who voted for the opposition were allegedly bribed. Participants called this slander.
“I made my own choice and voted according to my conscience, by my own judgment, but I never received any bribe. I ask that such statements be avoided and that people not slander the population. There was no talk of money, nor any such offers,” one Alpha News poll participant said.
Another resident stressed that clear vote theft occurred on June 7.
