Family of five to receive 150,000 drams in support: Narek Karapetyan

Narek Karapetyan, a member of the council of the Strong Armenia party, presented a major social program proposed by the party at a press conference today.

“There are tens of thousands of extremely poor families in Armenia. We are seeing a level of poverty that is unacceptable for the 21st century, for Europe, and for a country with the potential that ours has,” he said.

He added that under the proposed program, for example, a family of five would receive 150,000 drams per month to address economic, medical, and food-related needs. The initiative also considers the creation of a poverty reduction fund that would attract investment from around the world.
