Without Russia’s support, Armenia will face hardship. That is what one Yerevan resident said during an Alpha News poll.

“Up to now, the Russian Federation has been helping us, but for this administration, Turks are closer than Russians,” he stressed, commenting on the possibility of a rupture in Armenian-Russian relations.

According to those polled, should such a scenario unfold, Armenia could find itself in a situation similar to that of Artsakh and face the threat of depopulation.

“In any case, 85 to 90 percent of our grain comes from Russia, and if relations between the countries are severed, state budget revenues will shrink,” another Alpha News poll participant noted.
