Former food safety chief arrested for embezzlement

Armen Danielyan, the former director of Armenia’s Food Safety Inspection Service, has been arrested on suspicion of embezzlement, the Anti-Corruption Committee reports.

Danielyan faces criminal charges of grand theft committed through abuse of power.
