Hostile state seeks to repeat Artsakh scenario in Armenia: survey in Ijevan
Residents of the town of Ijevan in Armenia’s Tavush Province expressed the view in a survey that it is impossible to befriend Turks, describing them as enemies of Armenians.
According to the majority of respondents, a hostile state aims to replicate in Armenia what happened in Artsakh: to make the country dependent, impose a blockade, then establish a corridor and ultimately say, “leave your own country.”
“Our young men died at their hands, how can we be friends with them?” one participant in the survey stressed.
Citizens also expressed confusion over the policy of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. They questioned how it happened that Pashinyan turned countries friendly to Armenia into adversaries while seeking friendship with long-standing enemies.
