‘How can anyone speak badly of a good man?’ – Vanadzor residents on Samvel Karapetyan

As previously reported, the Yerevan Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction has ordered the two-month detention of businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, owner of the Tashir Group of Companies.

A survey was conducted in Vanadzor town of the Lori region to gather public opinion about the businessman.

“I respect Samvel Karapetyan as a good Armenian, a businessman and a prominent figure who has done a lot for Vanadzor, Tashir and all of Armenia. Such people should not be oppressed,” said one respondent.

Another respondent added, “He is a truly kind person and a philanthropist. How can anyone speak badly of a good man? He is the only one about whom no one will say anything bad.”

According to a third citizen, “he has done more for Armenia than those who criticize him from the outside.”
