“If even half of the bonuses were given to pensioners, people wouldn’t go hungry”: Shirak resident

“If even half of ministerial bonuses were paid to pensioners, people wouldn’t have to go hungry,” a resident of Shirak Province said in a street interview.

According to him, pensioners worked their whole lives in order to live comfortably in old age, but they have no money and can barely make ends meet on their pensions.

Other respondents said the authorities show no interest in the people or their problems.

“No one cares about public opinion. Pensions were increased by 10,000 drams, but all food prices have gone up,” another respondent added.
